On this Graduate School
From medical robotics to transcranial sonography, from macromolecular crystallography to virus evolution, interdisciplinary research is the key. The Graduate School consists of two research programmes. The first programme addresses issues in Computational Methods in Clinical Medicine whereas the second programme focuses on Computational Methods in Life Sciences. Doctoral candidates are assigned two supervisors, each from a different field (medicine, computer science or life sciences). For their research, they will team up with senior scientists, researchers and other doctoral candidates from other departments and clinics. The working language is English and international experiences on all levels are promoted through financial support for conferences, summer schools and research stay abroad. By offering an individualized curriculum incorporating disciplinary expertise, international networking and personality development, the Graduate School prepares doctoral candidates for a successful career in academia and industry.
