The self-healing process produced naturally in the human body takes the center stage in the research program of the Berlin-Brandenburg School for Regenerative Therapies. In close collaboration postgraduate Students of biology, material sciences and medicine try to develop new methods to initialize and support healing processes. Thereby, the graduate school does not want to educate generalists. Rather needed are specialists with a substantiated understanding for the other disciplines. The main aim is to introduce the corporately gathered research findings into the medical practice as fast as possible to disburden the path of healing for the patients. The school is mainly standing under the patronage of the Charité Universitätsmedizin. Furthermore, the school is in close collaboration with other institutions of research like the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces. Throughout its interdisciplinary apprenticeship the BSRT offers optimal and above all practical conditions for a successful entry into the world of research.
